Product Recalls & Safety

Your family's safety is our priority. Here is how to stay informed about window covering safety and product recalls.

Last updated: July 2026

Window Covering Cord Safety

Corded window coverings can pose a strangulation hazard to infants and young children. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the window covering industry strongly recommend cordless or motorized products in homes and buildings where children may be present.

As part of our commitment to safety, we proactively recommend cordless, cord-lock-free, and motorized solutions and will always discuss the safest options for your home during your consultation.

How to Check for Recalls

Product recalls are issued by manufacturers in coordination with the CPSC. To check whether a product has been recalled, or to report a safety concern, visit the CPSC at cpsc.gov/Recalls. You can also learn more about window covering safety at the Window Covering Safety Council, windowcoverings.org.

Products We Install

We offer premium window treatments from trusted, reputable manufacturers. If a recall is ever issued for a product we have installed in your home, we will help you coordinate directly with the manufacturer on repair, replacement, or remedy under their recall program.
