Referral Program Terms

The program is open to individuals and businesses who refer a new client to Sarasota Window Blinds. Referred clients must be new customers who have not previously requested a quote, consultation, or purchase from us and who are not already in our sales pipeline or an active lead at the time of referral.

Employees of Sarasota Window Blinds and members of their immediate households are not eligible to receive referral rewards. We reserve the right to determine eligibility in our reasonable discretion.

Referrals must be submitted through our official referral form or another method we designate, and must be received before the referred client’s first contact with us in order to qualify. The referring party must identify themselves and the person being referred at the time of submission.

By submitting a referral, you represent and warrant that you have the referred individual’s permission to share their contact information with us and to have us contact them regarding window treatments and related services. Do not submit another person’s personal information without their consent.

A referral reward is earned only after all of the following have occurred: (a) the referred client is a new customer; (b) the project has been completed and installed; and (c) the client has paid their invoice in full. Rewards are issued after a reasonable processing period following full payment.

If a project is canceled, refunded, charged back, or otherwise not paid in full, no reward is earned, and any reward already issued may be reversed or must be repaid. Only one reward is issued per completed referred project, regardless of how many people claim the same referral; where multiple claims exist, we will determine the eligible party in our reasonable discretion.

Reward types and amounts are as described in our current program materials and may be offered as a check, gift card, or another form we designate. Reward tiers and amounts are subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice. The reward in effect at the time a qualifying referral is submitted will apply.

If you are a licensed professional — including a real estate agent, broker, builder, contractor, or similar — you are solely responsible for confirming that accepting a referral reward is permitted by your employer, brokerage, franchise, licensing authority, and any applicable internal policies or codes of conduct. Some brokerages require that any payment be made to the brokerage rather than to an individual agent.

Referral rewards under this program are for referrals of window-treatment and related services only. This program does not offer, and you may not accept, anything of value in exchange for the referral of mortgage, title, appraisal, insurance, or other real estate settlement services in connection with a federally related mortgage loan. Such arrangements may be prohibited by the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and other laws.

Referral rewards may be taxable income. You are responsible for any taxes associated with a reward you receive. Depending on the amount and characterization of the payment, we may be required to collect a completed Form W-9 before issuing a reward and to report payments on an IRS Form 1099. Rewards may be withheld until any required tax documentation is provided.

Referred projects must be located within the service area we serve in Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities. Referrals outside our service area may not qualify.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason. We may also disqualify any participant we reasonably believe has abused the program, submitted fraudulent or unauthorized referrals, or violated these terms.
